The Ryan Sisters

The Ryan Sisters is a collaboration between sisters Pip and Natalie Ryan that exists outside their own practice. They were both born in Noble Park and live in Melbourne, Victoria. Together they explore ideas associated with humor, the uncanny, death and the absurd. Using a combination of spatial installation and intervention, they reference these themes while playing with dualities that exist between the merging of their identities.

Recent exhibitions include ‘Beyond Reason’ at QUT Art Museum, ‘Is Anybody There?’ at LAI, ‘Disquiet (Off You)’ at Dark Mofo, ‘Gruesome Twosome’ at Nicholas Projects, ‘Maverick’ at the MCA ArtBar, ‘1,000 Forms of Fear’ at the Australian Experimental Art Foundation, ‘Sign O’ the Times’ at NotFair 2016, ‘Horror Show’ at Strange Neighbour and Gippsland Art Gallery Sale, ‘Slump’ at Dudspace, ‘The Big East’ at Ringwood Scout Hall, ‘Wish You Were Here’ at Linden New Art and ‘Guess Who’ at C3 Gallery.
